Network Funding, LP Donates $10,000 to Support
All Kids Can Learn International, 501c3 Corp.
A "Marshall Plan" For African Aids Orphans
HOUSTON (November 15, 2005) - Network Funding, LP, a Texas-based retail mortgage lender, is helping to rescue thousands of orphans in Sub-Saharan Africa by donating $10,000 to aid the organization, All Kids Can Learn International, Inc. (AKCLI) in providing care, education and medical attention to African AIDS orphans. This is a Katrina disaster that gets worse every day in Africa with over 45 million current orphans and in countries like Zambia where the average age of 55% of the population is under age 24 and the life expectancy has dropped to under 35 years.
"The devastation caused by AIDS Pandemic, civil strife, poverty, famine, inadequate medical care, and a variety of other diseases is a tragedy of tremendous proportion for these precious children. As a company with a heart for providing housing for impoverished children and helping underdeveloped communities, we are incredibly saddened by the extent of suffering and loss", says CEO of Network Funding, Rex Chamberlain.
This particular project, known as the "Marshall Plan" for African Orphans, is working to establish 200 model orphans’ villages on a 10,000-are farm in Zambia. Each village will have economical housing, a large irrigated garden of several acres, and area for raising livestock, pastures, and athletic play space. AKCLI partners currently have over 21 years experience implementing successful humanitarian programs throughout Africa.
The Village concept is to show the world how a Company or a Church can sponsor and ADOPT an entire village, since these little ones can not be adopted from many of these countries. This concern for the Orphans has caught the eye of other Network Funding Branches as well and they have begun contributing too.
